Teachers' Training
Programme
In line with Ministry of Education (MOE) syllabus, Art Outreach is responding
to requests by art teachers to offer art appreciation training for teachers.
Our new Teacher's Training Programme is designed to give teachers the skills
and materials to lead the in-class art appreciation component for their own students.
Ministry of Education Art Syllabus
specifically recommends an art appreciation component for primary
and secondary school levels. From lower primary level to upper secondary
level, the art appreciation component ranges from empowering children
with an art vocabulary, to being able to make informed criticisms
about art, and extending the meaning of art to the wider context of
life and culture.
Art Outreach programme does exactly this. As such it
directly underscores these MOE objectives, and we now offer school teachers the
training to carry out this experience in their own classroom. The programme includes
Art Appreciation training and use of resources.

the art pieces so as to come to a full understanding of it.
