9TH ANNUAL NEW WORLD OF FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL
The weeklong New World of Food and Wine Festival from 13 to 19 August
2007 culminates in the highly-extravagant Grand Celebration Charity Gala
dinner on Sat, 18 August, which promises to be a feast for the senses.
Featuring celebrity guest chefs of the Festival, Jacques Reymond, Kazumi
Uemoto, Donato de Santis, David Lee, Nicholas Anthony and Frederic
Loraschi, each contributing to the six-course gala dinner that will be served
with wines showcased during the Festival from the estates of Moët &
Chandon, Salitage, Concha Y Toro, Vérité and Graham’s.
Guests will also experience an evening of aesthetic appreciation and enjoy entertainment in the form of “Talking Portraits”, where famous art pieces
come to life. The gala dinner offers patrons a rare opportunity to support
the development of an art appreciation curriculum in local schools, through
an auction of fine wines and artworks conducted by Christie’s Singapore. The
focus of the night with be the spectacular culinary experience. Thus, the
auction portion will be kept to a minimum with a select artworks, with the
highlight on the auction of important rare wines from the various
participating vintners.
We are very fortunate that the hotel has adopted Art Outreach as the
beneficiary for the charity proceeds, of which 100% of the tables & auction
sales will be donated to Art Outreach.
It would be truly quite a fabulous night of gastronomy. Tables at $2,500/
$3,500 & $4,500 or individual seats at $250/$350/$450. |
