Mission
Our mission is to create an art literate society from grassroots level and to stimulate community-wide participation in the arts.
Objectives:
This programme directly underscores the Singapore Government's objectives in developing a "global city of the arts" providing the much needed ingredient of art appreciation education in the classroom.
No. of Beneficiaries: 6000 students and 240 volunteers in year 2007
Programs/Activities:
Art Outreach art appreciation programme is designed to run in primary and secondary schools in Singapore. This free programme to the schools is brought to the students through Volunteer Teachers. Students are exposed to a wide variety of art topics, movements and media; with a special emphasis placed on Singapore and regional art.
Other Art Outreach services include customized art appreciation training for teachers, portfolio development and rental.
